"Boom Boom" by John Lee Hooker will be used. The irony within the song (that of love being like a gun) mirrors the irony within the film, that of Tony shooting his wife and the scene from this act becoming sexual, e.g the images shown on the Television.
The lack of music/soundtrack, is just as effective. Therefore the song ending with a gun shot releases the tension built within the scene via the audio. By absolute silence following the pulling of the trigger and the ending of the music in conjunction with the shot, the shock should have more of an impact.
